HOLY WEEK AND EASTER WORSHIP SCHEDULE

MAUNDY THURSDAY

Maundy Thursday Service, named from "mandatum", the new commandment (love each other, as I have loved you) that our Lord Jesus Christ gives His disciples on the night in which He is betrayed, will be celebrated on Thursday, March 29th at St. Paul Lutheran McConnellsburg.  The service will include our Lord's Supper and conclude with the stripping of the altar in preparation for the Good Friday Service.

Good Friday Tenebrae Service

The Good Friday Tenebrae (Service of Darkness) will be celebrated on Friday, March 30th at St. Paul's Lutheran Big Cove Tannery.  The service will include "The Suffering Servant" Scripture text from the prophet Isaiah, as well as the Passion Text from St. John.  The service will end in complete darkness as we remember the atoning sacrifice of our Lord and Savior on the cross.

Easter Services- The Resurrection of Our Lord

McConnellsburg Lutheran Parish will celebrate The Resurrection of Our Lord on Sunday, April 1st.  All services will include Holy Communion as we join our voices together in proclaiming "Alleluia.  Christ is risen.  He is risen indeed.  Alleluia."
